The BPIF is a business support organisation dedicated to improving efficiency and profitability within the print, packaging and graphic communication industries. As a member of the BPIF, The Studio was asked to develop a visual identity for their annual Excellence Awards.

The Studio developed a visual theme for the Awards in which the classical figure of David was positioned against a background of classical architecture, registration marks, stylised graphic elements and literary quotes.

To increase gala dinner attendance, The Studio used a cutting-edge personalisation technique on invitations and ancillary material. In addition, distinctly different creative concepts were produced to target different audiences - conference/exhibition delegates and BPIF members - using evocative and thought-provoking imagery. One conference delegate remarked, "I am from Denmark and when I saw this, I thought: 'Why not? It will be good to see what you do in England and it's better than simply going to a restaurant - I'll book four places!"

The Chief Executive of the BPIF, commented that 2006 had been an outstanding year for both award entries and conference attendance. The BPIF have directly linked this success ratio (a 100% uptake) with The Studio's marketing campaign activity and the fresh approach used to capture their members' imaginations.
