The PPA is an organisation for magazine and business to business media publishers in the UK with the role to promote and protect the interests of the industry. After the successful transition in 2008 to the online awards entry system created by The Studio, this year the marketing for the 2009 awards could similarly be modernised and instead of mailing large in-depth awards entry brochures and calls to actions, a more targeted approach could be undertaken.

The Studio created a brand for the event that was elegant and confidence, that worked well across all media. Keeping the colour pallet simple gave the design clarity and although based on an Art Deco design a sense of modern forward thinking, that the new management team at the PPA felt important to portray.
brilliant results
A beautifully executed postcard, was sent in a silver envelope lasered directly with the recipients details. Screen printed, with silver hot foil and spot UV varnish this call to action was designed to be more like an invitation than a mail piece. Sent as part of a timed strategy with a series of HTML emails and backed up by a informative and easy to navigate website the PPA have reduced they awards entry marketing budget by over 50%.
