CASE STUDY
bright people
Eleksen is the world leader in touch sensitive interactive textiles for electronics interface design. Their core technology ElekTex is a unique electro-conductive fabric touch pad used in applications ranging from wearable controls for consumer and industrial wear for fashion apparel brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna, O'Neill and Bagir. The company also markets a range of ready-to-integrate solutions for garments, bags and accessories. The Studio was asked to create a new brand identity and strapline for their corporate literature and sales collateral.
illuminating ideas
The brand review of their existing toolkit raised the question of how their hero product, the USB keyboard, was marketed and demonstrated to key accounts. The result of this audit developed into the creation of a sampler pack to raise awareness of the technology Ð this included a keyboard sample, a data sheet with key facts and a business card sized interactive CD - all designed by The Studio. These packs were sent to key players in the technology industry, such as Richard Branson for comment. Following the success of the pack, a second interactive CD was developed using flash technology, original photography and the strapline - where will it take you - for Eleksen's range of soft technology products. Photography of the product in its environment being used by customers was introduced depicting travel related locations to demonstrate the flexibility of the product. Supporting material has also been created including a range of 8 product brochures and 12 data sheets all following the coloured fabric tab system introduced by The Studio to link technology to fabrics.
brilliant results
Launched at International CES in Las Vegas, a consumer electronics exhibition, the new sales material supported the team on their stand, where Eleksen won contracts with some major new technology brands.
